New Years Eve Wedding

You may remember Amanda and Adam from their super fun, horse, dog and sun filled engagement session.(If not, then you should definitely check it out!) When Amanda asked if I would be willing to shoot her New Years Eve wedding, I was instantly excited! What better way to ring in the new year than with a group of awesome people, doing what I love?!

Amanda and Adam grew up in the same town and went to the same school. It wasn't until 4 years later that they began to run into each other and started dating. Their love for each other was obvious throughout the entire day. Despite the chilly winter weather and early sunset, we had an amazing time!

Amanda and Adam, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day. It was such an honour to be included in your celebrations and love!

c&r | winter engagement

 Last month I had the most wonderful {and cold} engagement session with Caitlyn and Ross! The lovely couple met in Ireland while Caitlyn was visiting a friend. They live in Ireland for now, but got engaged over their Christmas break in Ottawa while visiting Caitlyn's family, and asked me to shoot their engagement photos before returning back home. Thank you guys so much for braving the cold with me, Ross, just wait until it is -40 ;)

It was so frigid, lots of cuddles required to stay warm.

Ross is from Ireland, and Caitlyn from here...I had to bring along my vintage globes and suitcases.

They will be getting married here in Ottawa next May!

bella child magazine | published

Last year I was contacted by Bella Child Magazine, a children's fashion mag based out of Toronto. They asked if I would be interested in doing a spread for their Spring 2012 Issue! Yes, please! I got together a group of my cousins and friends and we had a day full of shooting and fun. I have to say a huge thank you to my mom Nancy and sister Bianca for helping me style the shoot, and to everyone who came out to model for me for being so awesome!

Since it was still the middle of winter and not the least bit Spring-like, I decided to have the kids inside and shoot through the window to give a 'store fashion window display' feel, with the kids looking like perfect mannequins.

This post is extra special to me. See that belly down there? That's my nephew in there! I was so excited to shoot my brother and sister in laws maternity session. The location was a dream and we had a perfect day.

Shanna is a teacher, so the apples fit perfectly. Plus, they were delicious!

And introducing, my newphew...Dane! He was such an angel for the entire shoot.

Of course with an auntie that is a photographer, he will have a full model portfolio by the time he is two! Can't wait for many, many more sessions with my favourite little guy.
